Work For The Hereafter As If You Are Going to Die Tomorrow

(Because it’s a fact that we can die anytime- Even today!)

The servant, when he turns away from Allah and becomes preoccupied with sins (in this world), he loses opportunities to earn a good true life (in the hereafter). He will see the consequence of losing this opportunity on the Day when he will say:

“Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good deeds] for my life [i.e. true, everlasting life in the Hereafter]”. So on that Day none will punish as He (Allah) will punish. [Quran 89:24-25]

We must hurry towards any deed that will ensure our success in the hereafter

So lets do good deeds now before Allah takes away our chance for repentance and an opportunity to do good deeds to earn ourselves a good life in the Hereafter

Some Simple Actions that can Save You from Allah’s Punishment in the Hereafter Include:

1. Performing the 5 prayers
2. Recitation of the Quran
3. Repent to Allah and ask for forgiveness
4. Paying Zakat
5. Salawat on the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam
6. Saying Subhan Allah, alhamdulillah and Laa ilaha ill Allah
7. Teaching children
8. Making Supplication
9. Removal of others’ difficulties and fulfillment of their needs
10. Preserving ties of kinship
11. Listening to da`wah tapes
12. Making peace between people
13. Advising others
14. Attend Islamic lectures
15. Talking to relatives
16. Going for Hajj
17. Contribute toward building a mosque, a well or school
18. Reading traditions (Hadith) of the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam
19. Mailing da`wah information
20. Feeding the poor
21. Taking care of orphans
22. Serving one’s family
23. Seeking knowledge
24. Recommending others to do good
25. Spreading Islamic knowledge
26. Giving Sadaqa
27. Taking care of your parents
28. Treating your family well
29. Repeating after the mu’adhdhin
30. Performing the night prayer

Abu Mas'ud 'Uqba ibn 'Amr al-Ansari al-Badri reported that the Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), said, "Anyone who shows the way to something good has the same reward as the person who does it." [Muslim]

E.g. if you encourage someone to go for Salah, or pay Zakat and the person actually goes ahead and prays or pays Zakat, Allah will reward him for the good deeds and at the same time give you (the one that encouraged them to do good) an equal reward as he has given them- without decreasing what he gave them.

So Encourage Other To Do Good And Refrain From Bad Deeds
